You've won the car. Now you need to get it home — and that's where things get complicated. GTT Recovery collects from auction on your behalf and delivers to wherever you need it.
Most auction wins can't be driven away on the day. The vehicle may have no current MOT, no road tax, or no cover under your insurance policy until the paperwork catches up. If it's a non-runner or a project car, driving it isn't even an option.
How Auction Collection Works
Give us the auction location, the vehicle details, and your delivery address. We handle everything from there.
On collection day, we attend the auction site, load the vehicle onto our flatbed, and transport it directly to your specified address — your driveway, your garage, or a storage facility. You don't need to be present for collection, though you'll need to have arranged payment and clearance with the auction house beforehand.
The vehicle travels on a flatbed, which means no mileage is added and no unnecessary wear occurs in transit. What you bought is exactly what arrives.

Can you collect from any auction in Scotland?
We cover most of Scotland. Ring us with the auction location and we'll confirm straight away. For sites in Central Scotland and the Fife area, we collect as standard.
Do I need to be present for collection?
No. You need to have settled payment with the auction house and confirmed the vehicle is cleared for release. After that, we handle the collection on your behalf. We'll update you when the vehicle is loaded and again when it's delivered.
